The Missouri Cowboy Single Action Shooting Association
AKA
The Missouri Gunfighters
The roughest, toughest, dumbest bunch of hombres ever to set foot on the wild prairie!!!!!
The Missouri Cowboy Single Action Shooting Association ( or MCSASA for short ) originally formed in 1995 to be a Wild West re-enactment group and Single Action shooting group. The original aim for the group was to get more and more people interested in the lifestyle of the old west. Other groups such as S.A.S.S. have been holding shooting and costume events for years on the west coast.
In 1996 a revelation came upon the MCSASA. After appearing at a few local area events and shooting the towns up, The Son's of the Pioneers (yes Roy Rogers old group) asked if they would perform one of their skits at their theater for a young boy who was under privileged, they were asked to perform a comedy skit, not only that but they were given only 1.5 hours notice and the 2 main characters in the show were in a town 45 minutes away.
Needless to say not only was the ride a hectic one ( a 45 minute drive done in 28 minutes) but a comedy skit was worked out to a rough draft knowing darn well that a whole bunch of adlib was going to be done. To make a long story short, not only did the skit get a great round of applause and laughter from the audience, but while the skit was being performed it was being taped by a local television station for broadcast on the evening news. The MCSASA finally hit the big time and a new sub group was formed, THE MISSOURI GUNFIGHTERS.
The 3 main characters in THE MISSOURI GUNFIGHTERS are the brothers:
Hardly Ever the oldest and sometimes not the smartest
Seldom Ever the middle brother that we ain't to sure about
and
Never Ever the youngest, smallest and certainly not the brightest bulb on the tree
